Bonsai created by a former teacher
Mr. Kondo is a former school teacher. He is 80 years old, retired from teaching, and is now an Akaishi Goyomatsu craftsman who is still producing bonsai. His hobby led him to become a craftsman to master the art of bonsai. Mr. Kondo says that bonsai and people are the same. Just as he teaches his students the rules of study, society, and morality, and guides them to grow, he treats his bonsai the same way. Some branches don't grow as fast as they should, some trees are too vigorous and the shape of the tree is disturbed, and he guides the bonsai that are outside the rules to grow. He laughed that it is hard for people and bonsai to listen to him, but all the bonsai on the shelves are magnificent and there is no doubt that they have grown up listening to his teachings.
Bonsai school with rich individuality
His shelves are lined with bonsai of various shapes and sizes, mainly Goyomatsu, Black Pine, and true oak. It is reminiscent of a school, with students sitting at their desks and listening to the teacher.
